Prof. Dr. Stefan Brass, member of the H&K board, is co-founder and Of Counsel of the renowned law firm BOP and holds the chair for civil and corporate law.
Prof. Brass was previously a lawyer with a major English law firm and subsequently head of the legal department of a listed industrial company.
After studying law, Prof. Brass first spent several years at the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) of the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Theodor Baums.
His dissertation on corporate law was awarded the German Corporate Law Prize of the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle. He has also been a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for several years.
Prof. Brass has several years of expertise in the areas of M&A and corporate, in particular in the legal structuring of transactions.
In particular, he has structured numerous cross-border transactions and has advised clients on all thematically related contracts such as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, share purchase agreements and technical and/or commercial management (O&M) contracts.
Since his appointment as a university lecturer, he has provided his expertise in transactions as well as other civil and corporate law mandates.
Prof. Dr. Michael Lingenfelder, member of the H&K board, holds the professorship for marketing and business administration at the Phillipps University of Marburg.
Prof. Lingenfelder has a total of more than 10 years of experience as a member of the supervisory board of large corporations. He is a member of various institutions in Germany (e.g. Association of University Lecturers in Business Administration) and abroad (e.g. Global Educators Network for Health Care Innovation Education (GENiE Group).
After studying business administration, obtaining his doctorate and habilitation at the University of Mannheim, Prof. Lingenfelder has been a professor in Marburg since the winter semester 1992/93.
During this time, he has supervised almost 50 doctoral students (about 40 as first supervisors), seven of whom are now professors at universities and colleges, and in total, he has supervised about 3,000 students with a focus on marketing and business administration.
In 2000 Prof. Lingenfelder was already a Visiting Professor at the University of Chongjing, People’s Republic of China, for the first time. He is also active in the field of executive education at the University of St. Gallen and the Salzburg Management Business School.
He has been co-founder and chairman of the Institute for Health Care Management at the University of Marburg since 1998 and co-founder and since 2003 second spokesman of the Research Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Wagener, member of the H&K board, is a political scientist and economist and professor for digital economy.
Prof. Wagener deals with the topic of digitalization in all its facets, especially digital marketing. His main focus is on Artificial Intelligence & Data Economy, Blockchain, Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, Digital Media and all areas of “Digital Management”.
Since 2017 Prof. Wagener has been head of the Business Administration course at Hof University of Applied Sciences. As a consultant he also supports companies in managing the digital transformation.
Prior to this, he held various management positions in the media environment since 1999, focusing on marketing and sales as well as the development and marketing of digital business models.
Dr. Khanh Dang Ngo, LL.M., Member of the H&K Board, is a law expert, Head of Legal at Exporo AG and also Of Counsel at the renowned international law firm Simmons & Simmons.
Dr. Ngo is specialized in advising on investment law issues.
Furthermore, he has profound experience in the implementation of regulatory requirements with regard to AIFMD, UCITS, KAGB, EMIR and MiFID.
His focus lies in the private and regulatory treatment of (technical) innovations.
Dr. Ngo studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, Boston University (LL.M.) and the Westphalian Wilhelms-University Münster (Dr. iur.).
Before joining Simmons & Simmons, he worked as in-house counsel at the US custodian bank Bank of New York Mellon in Frankfurt am Main.

Prof. Dr. Kai G. Kahl, member of the H&K board, is managing senior physician of the Clinic for Psychiatry, Social Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical University of Hannover and head of the training centre for behaviour therapy and behaviour medicine (AVVM) there.
Prof. Dr. Kahl is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, a specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, a certified supervisor, and a specialist in modern psychotherapy procedures.
Rolf K. Sparing, graduate industrial engineer, member of the H&K board, is a patent attorney and European patent attorney, European trademark and design attorney as well as co-founder and managing partner of the internationally operating patent law firm Bonnekamp & Sparing in Düsseldorf.
Mr. Sparing is specialized in obtaining and enforcing industrial property rights in Germany, Europe and worldwide.
With more than 25 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, his focus is on the strategic portfolio management of patents, trademarks and designs, especially for hidden champions.
Within the scope of corporate transactions, he accompanies the IP due diligence and drafting of contracts for the sale of intellectual property rights (asset deal).
He has participated in numerous patent infringement proceedings and has often been able to settle disputes out of court.
Mr. Sparing is a member of numerous professional associations and gives lectures and talks on intellectual property rights.
Prof. Dr. med. Fawad Khan, member of the H&K board, is partner and shareholder of one of the leading multi-site centers for radiology and nuclear medicine in Germany.
Prof. Khan received his doctorate and habilitation from the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main.
Patricia Rembowski, member of the H&K board, has been responsible for project coordination and human resources development at Asklepios – one of the leading German hospital groups – since 2014, focusing on legal affairs, contract management and process optimization.
In addition, she is responsible for marketing and press and public relations.
Ms Rembowski studied business administration in Mannheim. Afterwards she worked for ten years as commercial manager in a large medium-sized company, where she was responsible for finance and human resources.
Dr. Patricia Schütz, member of the H&K board, has already been responsible for the HEALTH & SAFTEY division at numerous DAX companies. In this function she is currently working for one of the most renowned German groups.
Dr. Schütz holds the specialist for psychiatry and psychotherapy from her many years of university work at the University Hospital Erlangen in addition to her specialist in occupational medicine.
She was also responsible for clinical research at one of the leading global pharmaceutical companies.
Amin Rouhollahpour, M.D., Member of the H&K Board, is Senior Physician at the Clinic for Vascular Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Hanau Hospital as well as Specialist in Vascular Surgery and Phlebology.
After studying human medicine in Frankfurt am Main, Dr. Rouholahpour completed his specialist training at renowned centres such as the Heart Centre of the University Hospital Frankfurt under the direction of Prof. Dr. Anton Moritz and in the Vascular Surgery Section at the Darmstadt Hospital under the direction of the renowned vascular surgeon Priv. Dr. Farzin Adili.
